Manchester Metropolitan University (often referred to as MMU, Man Met or Manchester Met) is a new, public university located in Manchester, England. The university evolved from the Manchester Mechanics Institute and the Manchester School of Design and Commerce, becoming Manchester Polytechnic in 1970. It gained university status in 1992 under the Further and Higher Education Act. The university headquarters and central campus are in the city of Manchester, with additional facilities in Cheshire.

You will be taught in specialist teaching facilities in environmentally sustainable buildings that are amongst the best of any university in the UK. Our spacious lecture theatres and seminar rooms are equipped with the latest teaching and learning facilities. You will also have access to numerous study spaces connected group work areas and social spaces.
